Bruckner was born in Hollywood California to a Hungarian father as well as a Russian mother, who later divorced. Her paternal grandfather was German. The couple came into contact in Hungary. The couple immigrated to the U.S. through an Italian refugee camp. She has two brothers. She also has two other sisters.
